Full show transcript:

Do you remember going, out to eat when you were younger? I mean, I guess. Yeah. We used to go to, like, the buffet at JJ North's. But it was like special occasions.

Right? I mean, we kinda had a routine built in with, with one buffet that we would go to every Friday. Every Friday. Yeah. With, with my aunt and uncle and cousins and stuff.

And I found out most, like, real really recently that that was, because in order for, my my dad and his brother and the family and stuff to actually get together, they had to sort of schedule it and say, this is the thing we're going to do so that we can make sure we get time together, which is smart. It is smart. Adults are busy. There's stuff. And if you don't put it on the calendar, you're gonna find a million reasons to not do it.

And so if you can say, hey. Listen. On this day, we do this thing, and it's part of our weekly routine, then you get to spend that time. So JJ Norris was your big And then it became a different buffet later. But yes.

Oh, okay. Yeah. We didn't eat out very often. Birthdays were always a special thing. Sure.

Or like celebrations, so it was, like, a special thing. But we most often went to Pizza Hut for our birthday. You always went to Pizza Hut? And then there was a a Chinese restaurant Yeah. In Burley called George Kay's.

Yeah. Oh, that was so good. But I I mean, even when I started dating you early on, it was like, we'd go to Burley, and it was like, oh, let's go to Pizza Hut. Like, it was still a big restaurant in town. There's other there's other places.

But anyway, go on. And then there was one other place. So it was these three places, but we had to go we had to drive to Twin to go to this other place, the Sizzler. Oh, the Sizzler. Yes.

That's my mom and dad love the Sizzler. Okay. What did what does your dad order at the Sizzler? Did he have the same thing all the time? He got the Malibu chicken.

See, you already know. Yep. And your mom? Teriyaki steak. Teriyaki steak.

Who did the sauteed mushrooms? Oh, my mom and me. Gross. No. Delicious.

Gross. I could use a bowl of that right now. Gross. Delicious. Give me a big old oily Buttery.

Fungus. Yuck. It's disgusting. Why did I marry you, you mushroom eater? It's good.

That's all. That was my only question for you today. Was if I remembered the Sizzler? No. Like, did you have like, what were your family restaurants that you frequented?

Yeah. We went to North's a lot. We went to JB's. That was a thing as well. JB's was on the West Side of town, so we got to eat there.

Not JB's Big Boy. It was JB's. It was like a diner, kind of place. Yeah. We went to there was a place, a buffet called North's Chuck Wagon.

Yeah. North's was kind of the thing. I think JJ North's and North's Chuck Wagon, they were all kind of the same. Yeah. And Let's go to the Chuck Wagon, dude.

I thought it was food. You would say, let's go to the Chuck Wagon? Yeah. Yeah. Gross.

That's what The Chuck Wagon for me was in, middle school or junior high. They would bring around, a food truck that was called the Chuck Wagon, and they would bring it in. You could buy, like, chips or sandwiches or whatever for lunch. At the Chuck Wagon Yeah. Wonder if those guys are still doing that.

The Chuck Wagon was awesome. They need a different name. You get a chicken sandwich. It was great because they carried a lot of what what you liked on the school menu, but couldn't get because it wasn't being served that day. And so you'd be like, no.

I do want the the pizza sticks or whatever. I'll have that, Chuck Wagon. It's not a good name. Oh, it's a terrible name, especially for food. Eat your food from the Chuck Wagon.

Billy, own up to the Chuck Wagon. Yeah. That's not it. Hey. Let's get to the show.

Okay. Okay. Okay. It's Monday. It's a Monday.

Yeah. It's the, last day of June. Oh, yeah. It is. Yeah.

We get to say goodbye to June today. No. I don't want to. I like June. June's been, June's awesome.

Feel like June's been been good, and June has been a long month. June has been busy. That's true. We've crammed a lot into June. But don't you agree that, this feels maybe like it's been a long month?

I mean A little bit. But I I think it always goes fast. I wanna strike out some not complaining that June has been long. I'm just saying that I feel like June has taken some time. June has taken some time.

Yeah. For sure. I mean, here's here's why it feels long. This is the June. It's the June, but it is the fifth Monday of the month.

So it feels long. Like, it's still June, which means July is gonna go by quick even though it's '31. July always goes by fast. I know. And when July goes, then August goes.

Yeah. And then So August it's November. There was school supplies at the store yesterday. Yeah. I was gonna talk about that.

That's something, isn't it? That is something. You go to the store expecting to see barbecue things and slip and slide stokes. And, yeah, all the all the yard ornament stuff. Excuse Excuse me.

I had a Chantel moment there. What's that mean? And, and, yeah, it's all twice. Get it to Twice. Together.

I had a Chantel twice. We need to do some vocal warm ups. I don't know what that is. The tip of the tongue. The tip For some reason to go.

The tip of the tongue. I don't ever do that one. The lips. Because I can never remember. Lips.

But what I was saying is you were expecting all those things, and it's all notebooks and crayons and mechanical pencils and Backpacks. Binders and yeah. I wasn't I was not expecting that. I was because they gotta keep that consumerism wrong. Is that why?

Yeah. I mean, look. The twentieth was the official first day of summer. We've only been in summer for ten days, and they're over here going like, meh. What about the end of it?

What about when it's over? Yeah. You wanna you wanna buy some of this? Yeah. You wanna buy this.

You wanna buy this. You wanna buy this? More money. You wanna buy what you're gonna need here in about few weeks? Yeah.

Yeah. School. I had to put when school started on the calendar so that I wouldn't forget the other day. Yikes. Yeah.

I know. And guess what? Here's what else is weird. What else? We're gonna have a sophomore this year, which means we've only got three more years I know.

Like Of a high schooler. Of a high schooler. And then and then what? And then what? And then what?

Fledglings? And then fledglings? Can you imagine? No. I can't.

I can't even. Catch my own fish? What's that mean? The eagles. You know?

Oh oh. You just you don't have to bring it back to the nest. You just catch your own fish. Go, well, I guess that'll do for today. Okay.

This has been a long tangent y opener, hasn't it? It's been three minutes. There we go. You with me? So I guess.

Alright. Sure. Good morning. Friday is the big day. Friday is the July 4.

Friday is Riverfest and the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration. That means Woo hoo. That means it's, it's here. I want you to go to, freedomcelebration.com. That is where you can get all kinds of details and information, about this event, including the event maps and parking maps.

That's the big deal because, parking is always, the part where people go, but they've made it, like, really super easy. So all you have to do is know where you're trying to get when you're done so that you can get there. And that's it. That's so easy. Sounds awesome to me.

I know. If you look at the map, you're gonna see, little red arrows. That's gonna be the important part to see because that's gonna show you where the, parking lots exit and which way traffic is going to be directed. And that's a big deal. So, if you wanna see those maps, go to freedomcelebration.com and, and check those out.

Now in addition to that, Riverfest has got a lot going on. We're talking about the Idaho Falls Community Hospital Riverfest. It is presented by Idaho Central Credit Union tagging Go Car Wash and Riverbend Media Group, and it's all happening on Friday at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls. It's gonna be a hot day, they say, so put on the sunblock. Okay?

If you may. Yeah. Yeah? You know what I'm saying? Put on the sunburn sunblock and bring and drink lots and lots of water.

Stay hydrated. Big deal. No pets down there. Don't bring your dogs. No motorized vehicles.

That includes rental scooters or scooters that you might own. Ear protection for the kiddos during the fireworks is highly recommended if you, if you have sensitive little ears because you're gonna be close to the launch zone. You are gonna be close. So just so you know. Loud.

Mhmm. Also Go ahead. There is all day passes to the Stones Kia kids zone. Those are only $10. 10 buckaroos for each kid.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But $10, your kids can play all day day. The Stones Kia kids zone.

That's the, the bouncy houses. That's the nerf battle zone, the rock wall, all the stuff, which is awesome. You can take a test drive in that new Can Am. I can't wait. I've been a test drive fool the past year.

Really have. And I'm excited to try out the Can Am from Rev Motorsports in the off road demo area. That's gonna be really cool. Where we'll find Chantel will be in the Mountain View Hospital misting station. Ah.

Yeah. Staying cool staying cool in the misting station. And plenty of food trucks and vendors will be on hand. And what's happening at 10:00? Oh, only the largest fireworks display West Of The Mississippi River?

Yeah. We're talking about the thirty second annual Melaleuca Freedom Celebration, all synchronized to music you can hear right here on Classy ninety seven. It's gonna be amazing. And it is thirty two years running, which is pretty incredible. So, Riverfest and the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration all happening on Friday.

We can't wait to see you at Snake River Landing. Be there, you know? It's here. Is it? The July 4.

It's here. The July 4. Oh, good news. You wanna hear this story? Sure do.

Okay. Cool. There's a shelter dog named Sienna. Oh. There was a big adoption event in Virginia.

And during the event, Sienna alerted a man that she'd never seen before that he was about to have a seizure. Aw. During the event, Sienna is a three year old lab pit bull mix, suddenly pulled her handler toward a man named Josh. And Risa, she gently placed her paw on his leg, and it wasn't, like, just a cute moment. Everybody went, but Josh has epilepsy and forgotten had forgotten his medication that morning.

And somehow, someway, Sienna knew something was wrong and very likely helped Josh avoid having a seizure. He and his family, I know. Isn't that amazing? Benefited from the event and so did Sienna because she, got a forever home with a woman, who, amazing as it sounds, happens to have a son with epilepsy. No way.

So Sienna is, like, amazing and now has a home and will be a wonderful service dog. And, it's just incredible. Like, what a what a thing to have happen. What a what a good dog. That's a great story.

I mean, we know dogs are the best people, but holy smokes, Sienna. They're the best because they aren't people. Well, I get that. I I get that. They're the best because they're dogs.

Yeah. Dogs are the best. But holy smokes. Oh. What a great story.

So way to go, Sienna. Way to sell yourself. Like, really, just show off all your capabilities on an option today. Oh, you wanna see something neat? Look.

I'm a put my hand here. Hey. Hey. Calm down. Oh.

Yeah. I think that's really, really special. So Good story, Josh. Good news to get you going. Hey.

What's up? Do you like opening gifts? Depends. Who's watching? Everybody.

Oh. Anything. Anytime. Birthday, wedding, baby shower. I I don't.

Okay. And I'll tell you why. Alright. Because even if I really, really love the gift Yeah. I feel like my reaction is not sincere.

Okay. So make sense? Yeah. It does. And I'm a tell you, you're not alone.

Okay. I don't know that people love doing that. In general they do either. I think people like receiving a gift. I think people like being thought of.

I think those are all important things. I don't think people go, I can't wait to open this and have everybody watching me. Yeah. I don't think any of it is sad. At a restaurant.

I don't like it at home. I don't like it. It's weird. Especially when there's money. Yeah.

Because here's the thing about money hold on to that for a year. You open it, and then you're like, do I count this now? And then it feels, like, silly to count it. What would be fun, I just thought of, is to open it up, and if there's money in there, go, like, $400? Like, have them go, what?

I didn't put $400. That's that's more fun. Is there a study or something that says there's any better No. There's a new trend, happening at bridal and baby showers. It's called a display shower.

Okay. Which it needs a better name. I I don't like it when they give some a name that's weak. Display shower, it's already a baby shower or or a a a wedding shower, bridal shower. You don't need another shower at a shower.

Stop it. Basically, guests are bringing unwrapped gifts, and they are arranged on a table for everyone to see. And this saves, you know, the the person who's receiving the gifts all that awkwardness of having to sit and open the presents in front of everybody. But you can see what people brought. So you get to you get to have the experience be like, no way.

Somebody got you that diaper genie. How cool. How am I gonna know as the person receiving the gift Yeah. Who brought what? I I'm glad you asked because that I can get it They actually made a printable little tag that says who it was from.

So they all match. So it all looks it matches the, the the color scheme of the event. And, and you can still put a bow on it, but you don't have to put wrapping paper on it. Sounds great. Happy to be my mind don't even have wrapping paper.

Correct. And what's the deal with birthday paper and every other holiday but Christmas only selling you a skinny roll? Come on now. Get with Christmas and figure it out. I I'm gonna give how many gifts in a year that I might have to wrap that won't be Christmas?

I mean, a handful. Right? Right. 10, maybe 12 something? I don't know.

I don't have, like, a huge family. So I'm not gonna have, like, a ton of gifts that I need to wrap throughout the year. So if I could buy one big thick birthday roll and use it year after year, I'm good. I don't need to have some fancy other paper, you know, just because it's a birthday or some other reason. Just sell me a generic celebration paper and a big bulk roll.

That's that's a rant. That is a rant. But, anyway please, Joshua. This this particular, person, Maggie, she posted this on TikTok. And, she said, I don't love opening gifts in front of a crowd, and I know a lot of people can relate.

So it definitely took some pressure off. I was bringing together family and friends who hadn't seen each other in a while. Not opening gifts allowed everybody extra time to spend on each other and socializing. And one of my best friends even traveled from abroad, and I haven't seen her in over a year. So I wanted to maximize the time I had with my guests by taking that out of the whole thing.

Love that. So you just have it on the display, and you go, look at that. Yeah. I'm just I think it's awesome. Visit with everybody.

Yep. Here's the other part too. What if somebody takes my reaction as, like, bigger Yeah. Than one I didn't think that onesie was worth that. But Right.

And my gift didn't get that big of a reaction. $400. I still think that's a funnier joke. You gotta play that joke. I'm I'm not, but you could.

I'm gonna. Okay. Yeah. It's gonna be a it's gonna be funny. Woah.

Settle down. It will be. Okay. Hey. I learned a new word.

Oh, yeah? What'd you learn? Glimmer. That's you just learned that word? Yeah.

What does it mean? You tell me. No. What do you think glimmer means? Glimmer means you are bright and sunshiny.

Yeah. Alright. Glimmer. Like a glimmer of hope? Yeah.

Okay. What about if I say, I am so glimmered right now? I don't know. I don't know what that one means. Yeah.

Is that what you learned? This is what I learned. Yeah. New and this is not brand new. I just it's new to me.

I am so glimmered right now. You what what does that sound like? Same thing. You're so No. Okay.

What I'm saying is in the sentence, when I say I am so glimmered I'm so glimmered. Like, I feel happy. I feel positive. I feel uplifted. Yeah.

I feel glimmered. That's what I think. That I'm glad you defined it. You're right on with the with the definition. What I meant is when I say, I am so glimmered, sounds like I am so triggered.

Right? I didn't necessarily want the definition the second or third time. But that's fine. Said. I know.

I said, what does it sound like? It sounds like the same attitude if I'm so triggered. It's fine. Just stick with me here. Glimmerd is the opposite of triggered.

So when somebody says I'm so triggered, like, that's that's like a feeling of, like, aggression or Angst. You know what I mean? Like, oh, that thing triggers me, and it's a negative emotion. Oh, that thing glimmers me. It brings me joy.

It makes me happy. It's the opposite of being triggered. It's being glimmered. Okay. Are people using this?

I I don't know. I heard it, and I thought that's it's a pretty good name. So I haven't heard it in, like In passing. The wild. I heard it on the Internet, but I haven't heard it out in the wilds.

I haven't heard it in the wild either. Actually, this is not anything new. I heard this a couple of months ago. That's what I'm saying. It's not brand new.

You've heard about being glimmered? Uh-huh. See, I just heard about it the other day. Like, I thought we'd get and I went, oh. For a while.

Glimbered? Yeah. Okay. So, yeah, so triggers are, are things that sort of attack your nervous system leading to fight or flight, whereas a glimmer, is is a feeling of safety, calm, connection. I'm so glimmered right now.

Okay. Yeah. Are you gonna use it in your daily conversation? I might try to bring it up. There are times when I'm out in nature or, you know, I think back to, when we went to San Diego and we were walking around the the Japanese Garden Uh-huh.

There was some glimmering happening there. I was glimmered a few times. It was just nice. It was nice. You know?

Did you feel glimmered? Were you glimmered by it? Yeah. There's lots of times I feel joy. Mhmm.

So I'll say, I feel glimmered. I've never I've never said that. So glimmered right now. I don't think I ever will say that. You know why?

I don't know. I think it sounds silly. I'll just say, I feel happy. There's a word for it now. So I'd, you know, that was really the big deal was new vocab.

No. I don't like it. I'm just gonna say, I feel happy. We have a saying just between you and I. Yeah.

When we're happy, we just say, I so pale. I know. And I'm trying to remember the whole origin of that. From that news anchor. It's an old viral video where she's just Right before she's supposed to go on air, she's looking at herself in the TV and says, I so pale.

And we laughed and laughed and laughed, I guess. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know how we connected to I don't know why we adopted it and said, whenever I'm happy, I'm just gonna say, I was all pale. I was so pale.

So we do that. I do. So I occasionally when I'm happy, I go, I so pale. I so pale. I I don't know how those dots connected.

I don't know. But that is definitely a thing. I so pale. That's a peek behind the curtain of the Josh and Chantel relationship. Don't tell people about how pale we are because we so pale.

We are, one, very pale people, but two, just happy. We so pale. We so pale. I learned two things over the weekend. What'd you learn?

One, I learned, that you will indeed watch a show, including the final episode without me with little to no shame. Josh, you took so long to finish that show. Do you know how many shows I've watched seven times before I get to move on to the next episode? Listen to me. How is it different if I've if we're on the say we're on the last episode and I fall asleep and you continue that episode while I'm asleep rather than me separately finishing that episode.

An episode finishing an episode because someone fell asleep and you and you're still awake is not the same as watching the finale of the show by yourself in the middle of the day while somebody's at work. Very different things. Astronomically different. I don't I don't A shared experience of a TV show ruined. No.

Yes. I don't think it was. Did you finish it, Heidi? Okay. That's we'll get to that in a minute.

Yeah. I learned that you will finish a show, including the final episode by yourself with little to no shame Josh. And say, I did watch the show. Yeah. I was at least I was honest.

Yeah. Sure. That makes it okay. It does make it okay. Thing too that I learned is, yes, who did indeed win Alone Australia.

Yes. I did finish, Alone Australia. Were you surprised? I I was surprised. Not terribly.

I think, you and I I'm trying to see when this originally aired. Okay. So it's only become available on Netflix this month. So I'm not going to It's pretty good. I'm not gonna spoil it.

Because if if you haven't watched it and you want to, I don't wanna spoil it. But the person that we picked early on as a favorite, felt strongly about and was hopeful for. And I'm glad to see that, you know, things come around that way. I was surprised. I thought Australia because we have watched Alone, the show before.

Uh-huh. Typically, they're on Vancouver Island. Uh-huh. And there's bears, and there's cougars. There's all kinds of wildlife.

Yeah. Squirrels and mice and Porcupines. Yeah. So it feels a little more intense. I thought Australia would be I thought it was like, oh, we're gonna see so many critters.

There was nothing. It's very there were crows. There were crows, maybe one or two wallaby. Yeah. But A very, very different landscape for the show.

I would say this has not been my favorite season just because there was not a lot of action going on. I I get that. I understand. I liked the people. Yeah.

The people were great. Right. And I enjoy I agree. Their shelters. You know what I don't like a show, about a show?

A reunion special. Blah. Did you watch the reunion? It came on. I watched about two minutes of the the host introduction, and I went, no.

They've gotta quit making those. They're awful. Like, what's the show, with, what what's it? Sister Wives? Is that the thing?

That entire show is a reunion special right now. It's awful. Oh, they have to rewatch clips and recount the things at like, the the only thing I did wanna see was never before seen footage. I'm not gonna watch the whole hour just to see three minutes of never before seen footage. It's not even good footage.

No. Right. Because the only thing I wanna see on the alone reunion is if, like, the people fresh and clean. Yeah. Well, you can see that in the first two seconds.

K. And then I'll turn it on. Yeah. The, the host was like, it's gonna be a tear filled evening, if if only from me. And I went, I can't with this.

I hate a reunion special. I do not like it. If only from me. Why was the host gonna cry? I don't know.

Look at me invoking emotion while I get a paycheck. But, again, I don't think that any of the other alone seasons have had a reunion. Reunion? This is a bad show. Look.

I don't, I don't know why I stopped. Didn't remember what that word. Yin. I don't either, but I also if they do, I'm not watching it. I know like, I used to watch, like, Gold Rush.

Uh-huh. And those those kinds of shows, and they'd get to the end of the season, and then they'd do, alright. We've got every and they tease it the whole time. Coming up after the show, it's the big we're gonna have everybody in one spot. We're gonna hammer out what you're watching.

I don't want to. Stop it. Yeah. Quit doing reunions. It's weird.

Bravo does all kinds of reunions Weird. For all their real housewives. Andy Cohen exists. Oh. Andy Cohen exists because of reunion specials.

Quit making them. As long as people are watching him, Josh, they'll keep making them. I don't watch them. Yeah. But not getting old.

Quit watching them so they'll go away. You're gonna tell a lot of people that. I just did. Alright, Chantel. We have a guest in the studio.

A very special guest. Yeah. We have Michelle Ziel Dingman from the Snake River Animal Shelter in the studio. Good morning, Michelle. Good morning.

So, I wanted to invite you in because we've got fourth of July coming up on Friday. And as we know, fireworks are for sale, and everybody decides that eleven o'clock's a fine time to light them off. Yep. And some of the animals, including our, Jack Russell, get a little bit spooked out. Yeah.

Now, with with Luna, our Jack Russell, she is not, she's not, like, shaking petrified. She hears the booms and barks at them, like, like, oh, that's something I should be aware of, and tries to tell everybody else in the house that it's happening like we didn't hear it. But, but I know for, animals, there's a lot of different, like, spectrum that that they can be on for how they handle that kind of stuff. So we wanted to get some tips. We wanted to kinda talk about it.

We wanted to kinda find out, you know, what are some things we can do to make sure, that the pets are comfortable and that they don't run away because they're scared, all that kind of stuff. Yeah. Pet ownership, it new challenge occurs on July 4 because, like you said, there is a spectrum where some dogs, they don't even care. I'll never forget when I got my little Chorkie, she was four pounds and actually spent the night at Sneak River Landing during the fireworks with us. And she loved every second of it.

She had no reactivity to the fireworks at all. And then my nine year old chihuahua, he's not interested. He is the one running to the corner, kind of scared. And so there's lots of things that pet owners can do. One, before the July 4, make sure your animal is microchipped.

They are 100% free at Snake River Animal Shelter. No appointment necessary. You just show up during open hours. So you've got until Friday Yeah. To stop by our shelter That's amazing.

And get a free microchip. Okay? Two, if you think you've moved since you got your animal microchipped or you got your animal from another different shelter, no matter where it is in the country, that dog or cat is likely microchipped. Make sure that your information is current. You also can do that by stopping by Snaker Animal Shelter or really, any animal shelter should be able to help you figure out how to change your information.

Because they'll scan and see what's on there, first of all. And if you go, like, oh, that's not even our right phone number or address or something. Yeah. That's Absolutely. A big deal.

Especially we have tons of people that have been moving from outside of the area here. Yeah. They use different kinds of microchips too. So Gotcha. That challenge, really can be eradicated by going to your local shelter and getting it put into their database as well.

So the microchip is really huge. I would be a millionaire if I had a dollar for every time an animal got loose and their owner said, this has never happened. My my dog never gets out. Right. Just it's not worth the risk.

It's free. It takes, like, ten minutes. It's not it's not too hard. Oh, that's awesome. That's amazing.

Yeah. That's huge. It's it's really just super important. But figuring out what your animal, needs to be comfortable is really important before the fourth of July. Because there's lots of strategies you can use.

If when you're gone, you know that your dog's like all the lights on, this is the time to have all the lights on, you know, especially if you're gonna be gone. If you know your dog likes watching TV. In fact, the sound of TV and radio is actually comforting to a lot of animals. Yeah. Okay.

At the shelter, if a cat is in isolation due to them being too small or them being ill, there's actually music playing twenty four hours a day. So they don't feel alone. They can they hear that background sound. So if you're gonna be gone, almost it's between comfort and drowning out the sound of fireworks. Using the sound of TV or radio, can work wonders on an animal.

Yeah. That's big. There's something called a thunder shirt and really it's kinda like a baby onesie that sort of wraps up like a little blanket shirt for animals. Those can be really comforting. It's kind of akin to a human weighted blanket or, you know, or or a baby swaddle.

It's very similar to that. There's some dogs really love that. And you can buy those at, you know, any local store, Walmart, Petco, PetSmart. That's something that can be really helpful, for your animal as well. And then sort of the, you know, at the the extreme at the end of the spectrum would be sedatives.

Right? So your veterinarian can provide you with July 4 sedatives. It's actually a very common request, to make sure that your animal is comfortable using medication as well. I gotcha. And and, you know, a lot of people talk about CBDs, treats, and different things like that.

Is that stuff, effective? How do you feel about that? Here's what's funny. You know, I have tried it on my dad's dogs who are very high anxiety dogs. My dad does not leave them at all for any reason.

So, with the rare occasion he does, it does increase anxiety. And I can't find a treat that calms them. So I I I know there's people that swear by them. I've never seen them work. We have not seen them work in the shelter environment at all.

So it wouldn't be my first choice just mostly because I haven't seen it be effective, really, for anybody. Okay. Good to know. Awesome. And then, obviously, if if, if somebody finds, an animal that that has escaped or is roaming around the neighborhood looking frightened, what kind of things can people do?

And and what sort of the protocol to if somebody needed to bring an animal to a shelter, what's that look like? You know, this is an excellent question. Particularly since on the July 4, you have lost people out in their neighborhoods. Right? And so it's actually very common for individuals to find lost animals around the July 4.

So the first thing that you would do is, ideally, is you would take that animal to be scanned for a microchip. You can do that twenty four hours a day in Idaho Falls at Viking Veterinary Hospital. But if you live near a twenty four hour or an open emergency vet, that's really step one. Hold on to the animal. Ideally, we would not be calling law enforcement for any reason the evening of the July 4.

Yeah. People don't realize that an animal control officer, no matter where you live in East Idaho, they they're gone usually by five or 06:00. They work sort of office hours. So So when you call a dispatch to say, hey, I've got a dog, you are taking law enforcement away from law enforcement duties. So if you can hold on to that dog until the morning of July 5, I know law enforcement will thank you greatly.

Yes. Okay? There's tons of rehoming groups, in the area or lost pets in the in the area groups. Put that picture of that animal on Facebook. So many people are able to reconnect, with the owner and and get that dog or cat back home really quickly Nice.

Just using social media. If I've lost my dog and I or I go home after the fireworks, my dog's not there, most people will immediately go on Facebook and start looking around. Mhmm. And then they'll also call dispatch. So you can call the non emergency dispatch number wherever you live and say, hey, I've got a black lab wearing a red collar.

Here's my name and phone number. You can almost guarantee that they will say, will you please hold on to that animal till tomorrow morning and then call us back? And then we can get you into a shelter. But, you know, we would appreciate folks being able to hold on to them at least for the night and allow law enforcement to be worried about things like fires and things like accidents and and all that. Sure.

No. That's great. What can the community do to help the Snake River Animal Shelter during the fourth? Is there anything you guys need from any of us? That's a great question.

Appreciate you asking. Today, we will launch our fourth of July overnight buddy program. So we do this every every year for the last three years, the week of the July 4, where if you are just hanging out at home, we would love to have you take a dog overnight so that they're not alone in the shelter. We do we are located quite close to the fireworks Yeah. In the scheme of things.

And so the fireworks are very very loud at the shelter. We would love to get animals into into homes, oh, just for the nights. Pickup is usually, around 04:00 on July 3. So this Thursday, you'll pick up, and then you can return the dog Friday morning. So, we've had a lot of success.

Is it Saturday? Because fourth is on Friday. Yeah. So I just wanna make sure. Yeah.

So it's, but it's a great program that allows you to have sort of a reason to stay home. You know? Yeah. A lot of people are adverse to the crowds, the lights. They might have PTSD.

They might just be overwhelmed in that environment. And so we've seen a very high success rate of people participating in this program. So look for that on social media today to sign up. Yeah. Right on.

Perfect. That's awesome. And, and and I guess, you know, are there any other, you know, we talked a lot about dogs. Do cats have a lot of these issues? Is this a similar thing?

Do we see this, you know, happen for them? I know I know for cats, especially if they are free roaming or outdoor cats, in neighborhoods or or rural areas, sometimes they end up hiding away or or, you know, things like that. But, but do we have a similar thing with cats as well? If cat if cats are going to, run off, they usually are going to hide and they're usually going to be in actually pretty close proximity to your house, if they were to be an indoor cat and escaped because of the sound. But but very similar protocol.

You're gonna look for things that comfort them like, for example, light or dark, crating. Crating for both dogs and cats, can be very useful during for short periods of time, particularly if they're not used to it. You know, if you crate your dog when you go to work, this is the night to do it, you know. Keep them comfortable. Cats work the exact same way.

There is no law against free roaming cats anywhere in the state of Idaho. So, cats being loose, we actually discourage people just to pick up random cats. Oftentimes, you are either taking someone's indoor outdoor cat from them and then your local shelter has to deal with that that friendly pet owner who's wondering why you have their cats. Oh, no. So we we prefer you to actually not pick them up unless they are sick or injured.

Okay? Then we want them to get treatments, and you can usually take that to whatever shelter is in your jurisdiction. But let's leave the cats roaming outside, if they if if they're supposed to be there. Good advice. Very good.

Well, thank you, Michelle, for taking the time to talk to us. Obviously, if you, you wanna get in touch with the Sacred River Animal Shelter, easy to find all of your contact information. And, and you can find out more about, the buddy program. I think that's great. I did.

It's fantastic. And, yeah, just look out for the animals. I know it's a big deal. We talk a lot about, you know, all the fun that we get to have on the July 4 as humans, but some of that scares the, the dogs and stuff. So, look out for your pets and, microchipping free.

Go get it done. For free. Yes. What are you waiting for? Go get that taken care of.

Snake River Animal Shelter. Michelle, thanks so much. Thank you so much for having me. So last week, I got to show off some skills that I learned thanks to you, by the way. Me.

Yeah. There was a a lock that I had to, get into. I had to figure out a combination lock, and it's one of those, three digit little turny dials, and you gotta pick the numbers and whatever. Yeah. And, you have one of those at your other job.

I do. And, and the one that the one that you have at your other place is, is easy to change the combination on, and and folks do that accidentally because they they push a button and change the numbers, and they don't realize that they've changed the combination. When they get here's what I know to I know about people. Yeah. If they don't if they don't know the code right away, then they'll just start pushing stuff.

Yeah. Yeah. I've watched people use computers. I know. If you don't know how to do it, you just start clicking stuff.

Start pushing things. And see what happens. So that's that's what happened to your other place. And then you were like, I need to get into this thing. And so I did a quick little, Google search on how to pick a lock, a combination lock like that, and found out.

And then, I've had to do, what, three, four times maybe? And and I've shown you, and you've done it now. So you you know the the way to pick this lock. Yeah. So last week on Friday, I had to, I had to get in the same situation.

I went, this this is a very similar thing. So I'm looking around for the tools that I need, and I'm talking to, Andrea down the hall. And and she's a sweet lady. She's, she's helping me out trying to figure this thing out because we thought we knew the combination. We're like, nope.

We must not. And so, and so she's helping me find, like, an aluminum can and all this, like, and and so I'm doing all this stuff. She goes she's watching me, and she goes, how do you know how to do this? Shh. Don't ask questions.

I know how to pick a lock. It's fine. Don't worry about it. Don't ask questions you don't wanna know the answer to. Like, You can learn anything on the Internet.

I just which Let me focus. Doesn't make me feel very safe about Well, look, I've I learned years ago that a lock only keeps out an honest person. Serious. Yeah. If somebody wants in something bad enough, they're gonna get in there.

Yeah. You're right. A lock only keeps out an honest person. Because if I can find the YouTube video to Yeah. Kick into the lock, so can Anybody else.

Yeah. I I did have to know the specific lock in order to do it. That was helpful. But, but the, the system worked, and I was able to get into the, the box that I needed to get into. And, life was good, and I got to show off a skill.

And, someone in someone in the office went, Did not know that about him. Maybe I'll keep my eyes on this guy. Right. He knows how to do that. Okay.

Noted. Yeah. The tricky part is you gotta find for the particular lock that we have to pick Yeah. You have to find an aluminum. I know.

That that was, like, honestly, walking around the office going like, does anybody have an aluminum can like, I was almost gonna have to go to the store and then chug a soda or something. Yeah. Because you just need a tiny little piece of the tin. Don't talk about how to do it. It's on the Internet.

Anybody can look it up. I mean, you're right. But, anyway, it worked. Congrats. Yeah.

Yeah. Everything everything was cool. Way to pick that lock. Yeah. Yes.

See? And what was interesting is once we found the combination, we both were like, no. I thought we tried that number, but apparently not. So anyway yeah. It's great job.

That's all. Good job. I know how to do that, and other people now know that I know how to do that. Other people can look it up just as easy on the Internet. This is true.

Big project this weekend. Big, huge. Big project. 70% done. Hey.

You think it's that far? I I think so because the shed. Oh, yeah. So so the shed in the garage, you've been talking to me about since, about a year ago. The oh, we gotta get this thing done.

We gotta get this thing in shape. And I go, no. There's so much fun to be had instead. Well, this weekend was one of those weekends where there was stuff going on, so we weren't able to leave and go anywhere. So we said, well, let's just tear into it.

This project, man. So when did it start? Saturday. Friday? No.

Saturday. It started Saturday. Are you sure? Positive. It started Friday.

No. It did not. No. It didn't. It started Saturday.

It started Saturday at 04:00. Yes. It did. Are you sure? Oh, 100.

Okay. I thought we started earlier. No. Nah, brah. It doesn't matter.

I'm pretty sure. It doesn't matter. The point I was trying to do hours. I was trying to figure how many hours we've got into it is what I was trying. That's why it's it kinda matters.

But it's I mean, in the grand scheme of things, no. It's irrelevant information But that to anyone but me. Garage shed project has been on our to do list for A long time. Years. Yeah.

You've wanted a gear area Yeah. Specifically an area where you can put all your camping gear, all your hiking gear, and then just be able to grab it and go. You wanted a place where you could hang sleeping bags. Yeah. I think you finally have it now.

I'm getting there. You got, like, a nice storage Yeah. Solution. I think what I'm gonna end up doing because I was telling you I don't like how the fishing waders are hung. I'm gonna end up putting up another Bar.

Another bar, probably on the side of the, of the new shelf, kind of between the shelf and the door there. Okay. And I think that's probably where I'm gonna end up. I didn't lie I don't like them hanging there. I'm gonna move them over.

That's I had plans for that area. For that tiny little, like, not even a foot? Oh, no. Where are you talking about? To the left of the door or the right of the door?

Left of the door. Okay. I don't know. Planning for the right of the door? Told you this already.

I'm gonna Settle down. Settle down. Here's what I noticed. When you and I have a project together Yeah. You have ideas Mhmm.

And I have ideas. Right. And never the two shall meet. Sometimes. Occasionally, we go, oh, that makes sense.

Yep. But we don't say the idea out loud. I know. And then I'll communicate something, and you'll go, And I go, I'll just do it. It's fine.

Never mind. You empty stuff out. I bring stuff in, and you go, I had a plan for that. And I go, you didn't tell me. Exactly.

So what's your plan for the, for the right side of the door? Well, I told you, we don't have our house was built in seventies, so we don't have like, everybody has mudrooms in different areas, Pantries, I don't have a pantry. Right. I used an old I we turned an old coat closet into a pantry. It's small, but I don't have anywhere to put rooms and mops and things.

I like where you put them in between the shelves. Yeah. I don't love that idea. So I'm just gonna put them in that space by the door on the other side of the door. Oh.

No. You're not a bad idea. No. Do you want, like, a, like, a thing to hold them? Like Yeah.

That's nice. I think that's fine if that's where you want them. I don't have anywhere else to put them. That's fine. Not where I want them.

It's just the the best place given our circumstance. Okay. See? Yeah. I see what you're saying.

I really don't mind them in between the shelves where you have stuff going right now with the with the little step stool and stuff. Yeah. I think that's a good spot. Okay. I looked at it and went, that's a good spot.

Like, what a good use of that space because there was nothing else you're gonna put in there. No. Otherwise, you just have an empty thing in between the shelves. Alright. I don't have a plan for that space.

Okay. Good. I do like that the door opens all the way, and I moved the fridge so the freezer opens there. And I don't think that'll obstruct it if it's there, but I do like that the garage door opens all the way. Did it not before?

Because the shelf was there. Oh, yeah. You're right. The shelf. When was the oh, like, on Friday before I moved the shelf?

No. Saturday. Oh, quit it. Anyway, this is a this is a big deal. And and I think, like, what I have left to do I have a a little bit left to do on my tool bench, which now is completely accessible.

Yeah. I still have to organize all of my sockets, and I'm not excited about that project. I don't like it. I don't like doing it. I I really for some reason, I hate putting them away right.

I don't like sorting them out. I hate when I have to use a socket because I can never find the one that I want because I didn't put them away right. Though to me. Because you organized every other single little piece in your toolbox. But the sockets, you're like, nope.

I don't wanna do it. I hate the one sockets. I don't wanna do it. You organize the screws and the nails and the I still have another wrenches and the hammers. To go through.

I know. But you open the socket drawer and you go, nope. I'm bored. I'm not doing this. Like that drawer.

I I don't. Like, I I don't like it. I Okay. Fine. Because don't they just go on, like, their size?

They do, and you have to put them in order, and you have to make sure because some of them are star, and some of them are five, and then some of them, are, deep sockets, and some of them are shallow. And they have the little things, and you gotta put them in the right order. It's just too much. I hate it. I don't know about that.

Like the socket drawer. It's a mess, and I probably am missing all of the 10 millimeter sockets because that's how it goes. So that's the other part too is I'm gonna be missing stuff, and I'd like to replace it. I'd like to fill in what I'm missing. I'm missing a ratchet.

Let me take I don't even know where that Let me tackle the socket drawer. I'll do it if you tell me what I'm supposed to do. Sure. Go wild. Maybe.

There are three different sizes of ratchet that I have. So there's three different sizes of each socket. It's just a mess. And there's metric ones, and there's standard one. It's just I hate that drawer.

Gross. It is. That's why I just go, this drawer is not gonna get organized. I don't want to. But, anyway, now I'm sorting all of the camping gear, which is awesome.

I'm really enjoying that process, except that I go, like, what do I need to keep? What do I wanna get rid of? And then I got in my head, I went, like, I wanna find a bunch of old maps. So the wall behind it, I wanna cover in, like, old Cool. Cool looking maps.

Right? I know. That sounds really cool. My brain starts wandering about all the cool things that I could do with the space that I then I'm sitting there in my chair going like, yeah. This could be really cool, and not getting anything done.

And then you come out and go, you still sitting there, bud? And I go, like, yeah. Still sorting. I like that idea. I know.

That's a cool idea. I think it'd be really neat. Anyway so, yeah, that's what's in my head. A million different things. We're getting 70% done.

I feel like that's probably where we're at. Maybe a little bit more, I think. I think maybe a little bit more than 70. 72.25? Gotta deal with the kayak still.

I still have stuff on the side of the house. I gotta deal with this. It's okay. 70% done. Okay.

Our son, Beck, had a pretty big doctor's appointment on Friday, and he was kinda nervous about it. So I said, I'll just go with you. And he gets checked in, and he's filling out his forms. What I kinda love is when you have, like, young adult children Mhmm. And you hand them the form, and you're like, you you get to do this while I get to sit and do nothing.

What they need is, like, adult toys. Like, like we were talking about that little thing with the little, little wood things you can move around on the roller coaster track. They need that for adults so you can say, hey, 20 year old. Here are your forms. The form.

I'll be over here. Yeah. La la la. Just playing with stuff, poking at the fish aquarium. You know?

All the fun things. Watching the movie. He had form, and so I was reading it. And I happened to glance down on the sheet, and it said, emergency contact. Now there was just one line for the emergency contact.

Who who do you think he put in there? Well, I would assume you. You were with him. Who do you think he put in there? Well, I would assume you.

You were with him. No. Who did he put? You. The dog?

Why did he put me? I don't know. Settle down. Yeah. I'm the one there with him, and he puts your name down.

And I go, dad, why'd you put dad's name down? And he goes, oh, because he's the one that's gonna answer. I go, that is such a lie. Dad doesn't ever answer his phone. Yeah.

Do call me. See what happens. Don't text me. I'm real slow on text. Alright.

You do. I'll answer the phone. You do answer the phone. You're right. You do.

But if the kids call, I'll answer. I get it. I was so offended. I'm like, who is there? That you you don't always because Emery will call me and say, I tried to call mom.

She isn't answering. Yeah. And Can you answer this question? If I don't answer, it's because I'm busy at work or something. Sure.

And then I'll call back immediately when I'm done. I get it. I was so mad. But he's but, like, I will usually be like, I gotta take this. If I'm in a thing, like, and one of you three call, yeah, immediately.

I'm like, hold on. I gotta go I gotta grab this because nobody calls me. So if someone calls, it's important. So I go, I've gotta grab this. Aw.

That's nice. So yeah. That's people call me. I answer. That's fine.

Well I'm a talk on the phone guy. You're Bex's emergency contact. Well, that's neat. Good job. Congratulations.

I'm pretty stoked about that. If there were two lines, we'd both be on there. You know what? Still get top billing. Why is this offensive?

Because Why are you taking offense? I don't know, actually. The good news is that he didn't look around the room and go like, I don't know who to put. Oh, that is You know what I'm saying? That he yeah.

I am happy that he picked you. I am. Because here's the thing. You're better in crisis situations anyway. I don't know about that, but okay.

So, I mean, you're that's good. I don't know why I'm upset. I'm not. You talk You had you had some envy there for a minute For a minute. And a little bit of jealousy.

You felt like someone was being taken away. But but what? Again, if there were two lines, we'd both be there. He could have written mom and dad and put two phone numbers. He could've.

He didn't. That's right. And he's right. You do answer the phone more often, so I'm not mad. Oh, here's the other thing.

What? You'll probably be with him. So Probably. If he If he needs if he needs outside help, that's where he'll find me. You're inside help.

I'm outside help. That's true. I help with feelings. Right. But, like, oh, you're here with me.

So if I have a problem, you're already here. I don't need to put you on the form because you're here. Oh, I see what you're saying. I'm gonna have I thought you were saying dad on the form because he's not here. You're already here.

So if something goes awry, just she's there. Go get her. Okay. You see what I'm saying? I see what you're saying.

Same thing. Well, congratulations. I guess. Big day. Big day for you.

I mean, I don't I don't have many medals or trophies, but I got an emergency contact. You got two. Two emergency contacts? Oh, because you? Yeah.

Oh, sweet. Nice. Don't let us down. Just not answer my phone. Show you.

Can't be bothered. Yeah. Should've picked somebody else. You fool. Is it just my imagination?

Yes. Running away. Or have the pool noodles gotten smaller? Okay. We were at the store yesterday.

Mhmm. And you pointed that out to me, and I went, that's not even gonna float a toddler. No. What is that thing? I don't know.

That's like a pool spaghetti. That's not a noodle. Do we have, like, older ones? We do. Yeah.

In the in the shed, they're up in the rafters. I saw them Okay. This weekend. Because We do. They are, like, I was blown away how skinny the pool noodles they're selling today are.

Like, they are nothing. They are thin spaghetti noodles where we've got, like, fettuccine noodles. What's the deal with that? Shrinkflation, they call it. Mhmm.

Where they make the product smaller Keep the price the same. Keep the price the same or more. Let me see. Let me do a quick Yeah. The whole noodles are substantially skinnier.

Getting smaller. So second Google search. Yeah. They are very, very much getting smaller. Yeah.

Yeah. Shrinkflation. I know. Right? That's what it is.

That's what it says. I know. It's what it's called. It's what they're doing. It's like they put more air in the bag of chips and then charge you $6.

I love my favorite thing about a pool noodle What's your favorite thing about a pool noodle? I like to swim. I'm not one of those moms that's like, no. I'm gonna tan on the side. Can't get my hair wet.

I I I like to jump in. I like to do all of the swimming things. Uh-huh. But I like to take the pool noodle, and you bend it in half Yeah. And then you use it as a seat.

I've seen you do that. It's my favorite. You're not gonna be able to do that with that skinny noodle. You're gonna need two or three. What do you mean by that?

What do you say? So not buoyant. Mhmm. I'm saying that you're gonna need two or three gonna need a bigger one? Oh, boy.

I'm saying you're gonna need two or three noodles to to equate to the one noodle that we To hold your weight. That's what you said. Yeah. Because of the way buoyancy works. Yes.

Literally, the physics of it. Yeah. To hold your weight. Not that you're in need of six or a dozen. No.

You're gonna need three to the one you would have needed that we bought fifteen years ago. I see what you're saying. Yeah. Yeah. It also works really cool if you take two.

Uh-huh. You put one under your head and one under your knees. Oh. And then you can just, like, lay down. Oh, man.

Let's go swimming. No. We haven't been swimming all summer. You swim tonight. Yeah.

Uh-huh. I told you. You can go swimming. Go have a have a ball. And then you went, no.

Well, one, that's indoors Yeah. And that's not fun. Well, except that it's, climate controlled. Yeah. But the whole thing have to sunscreen up?

Fair. I don't have any pool noodles. Which does that help with your, water aerodynamics, whatever that's called, hydrodynamics? What? If you are Sunscreen?

Sunscreened with the oil on you, does it make you go faster? I don't know. Because it might. It might. You're right.

I don't I don't know. You used to like to swim, but as you've getting older, you don't like it so much. What's up? Mhmm. Body dysmorphia.

Oh, Josh. Who cares? But Not really wanting to be in a like, I I love a hot tub. I'll go sit in a hot tub. I just don't I don't know about the pool.

You know? I I like it. I like swimming in a pool. Yeah? Yeah.

One of my best skills is handstands in the pool. It's one of that's one of my best talents. Self proclaimed. Get out of here. Don't even take that away from me.

You know that's one of my that's one of my most proudest achievements. But you think you're pretty good at it, Josh, I am good at it. I'm I'm pretty sure we timed it out. Look at your face. You're so upset.

That's more upsetting than the pool noodle comment that I said. You're more more concerned about, you know I do handstands real good. Yeah. You know that that's like a crowning achievement for me. Yeah.

Don't take that away from me. Yeah. It's the only thing I have. No. It's not.

You're real good at riding a bike? Thanks. Wow. Not everybody most people can ride a bike. Not everybody can do a handstand in the pool.

Don't you take this away from me. And some people get this do it longer than than you. I know that some people can do it longer. Yeah. But there there's not very many, at least in our little circle of swim people.

I might be one of them. No. Oh. Disagree. I know.

Yeah. We're gonna have to go test this. Alright. Come to the pool. Tonight?

Yeah. Yeah. I'm busy. Oh, is that right? Yeah.

Busy Doing garage stuff. Is that right? Yeah. Which which garage stuff are you gonna work with? The sockets.

Oh, is that right? Okay. Would you rather Is it that time? It is that time. Smokes.

That time. Here we go. Would you rather this or that? Would you rather have sand in your shoes all summer long or sunscreen that never rubs in all summer long? I have made my selection.

Okay. Okay. Have you chosen? I'm going with sunscreen. Interesting.

Why? Because I can't stand having stuff in my shoes. You're gonna be so slippery. I don't care. I hate having stuff in my shoes.

Interesting. Why did you pick sunscreen? I didn't pick sunscreen. What did you pick? I picked sand in the shoes.

Why? Because I don't wanna be all oily and slippery because I think that's worse I think that's gross. Than a bunch of sand in my shoes. And you you didn't say how much. You said sand in your shoes.

So I'm imagining I walked on the beach, which I did in, in April and kicked up a little bit of sand, and it got in my shoe. And it was a little uncomfortable, but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't, live with it. It's sand in the shoe is not gravel or pebble or sharp rock in the shoe. Sand in the shoe also implies I've been somewhere sandy, which I'm cool with that. You can't just have sand without unless you're just at the sand dunes Yeah.

Or if you're at the Sandy Downs. Yeah. See? Yeah. It's not always that exciting.

Or you were in a playground or a sandbox. Yeah. The the point is I was somewhere sandy, and I got some sand in my sandals. But, again, sunscreen, it doesn't say how much. So I could have a little bit.

No. It's not just a little bit. It's it's like you should have covered what you normally cover, but it doesn't rub in. Yeah. You're just walking around with goop.

I don't care. I'll take it. Protect it. Always protected from the sun. Because it didn't rub in.

You're just covered in. Partially rubs it. You didn't say that. You said never rubs in. Partially protected, though.

No. Covered with the slime. Ugh. Can't touch you all summer. You're oily.

Have fun walking in sand all summer. Sandals. They go. Good one. Yeah.

I have never seen you more excited about something in your life than something I found at the store What? Over the weekend. What was it? What'd you find? The cookie butter ice cream obstacle.

Dude. I love some cookie butter. I love Biscoff You so much. Love Biscoff. And, the fact that they keep putting Biscoff and stuff just makes me happy.

It's so much stuff. They've been in so much stuff. I didn't realize how much I like Biscoff until we went to New York. And we're on the airplane, and they handed out Biscoff cookies. And I went, what is this treat?

And I ate it, and I went, that's the best treat I've had. It's great. And then, and then I found out that you can buy them in bulk, and I did. And you did. You wanna know why I don't like going swimming?

Biscoff body. Body by Biscoff. That's what I've got going. They make Biscoff cookies, but then they also make a Biscoff butter. Yes.

You can get a jar of just the Which I have. Cookie mixed up. But they also make little round Biscoff cookies like these here in my hand Yeah. That have Biscoff butter in between the Biscoff cookies. It's crazy what they're doing with Biscoff these days.

I tell you, it started as an airplane cookie, and now it's everywhere. And, and I don't even know what we were doing down the ice cream aisle. I'll tell you. I was looking for ice cream. I saw Yeah.

I fig I figured that out. I saw I think I was influenced a little bit because there was an Instagrammer that I follow, and she had a pistachio ice cream bar. And I went, that looks really good. Doesn't look that great. It does.

If you like pistachio I do. Pistachio. Pistachio. It's very fancy. I'm not big on the pistachio.

I saw so as I was looking for the pistachio ice cream, I saw the cookie butter ice cream, and I went, oh. Yeah. And you, your face went down. In the cart immediately. Immediately.

Yeah. You don't even like sweets. You don't have a sweet tooth, but you were practically jumping up and up and down. The saddest part is they're a little bit pricey, and there's only four in a row. I know.

I had one, Saturday night? Yesterday. I don't know what day it was. It was yesterday. But I had one.

Me too. And because you said, oh, I had one of those. Because just like TV shows, this is such a callback to the whole show today. Similar to how you'll finish a show, you'll eat a dessert that I'm excited about and then tell me how great it is and be like, you're gonna love it. Good.

I'm glad that we shared that experience at the same time. So I had one by myself, and I ate it. And I thought, yeah. This is really good. Like, I really am enjoying this.

It was very rich. I felt like I would like to have had half of it. And you said, not me. Give me one in each hand. One was adequate.

Like, I was done after one. Yeah. But you still didn't find your pistachio. No. I didn't find that one.

Anyway, watch the show without me, eat dessert without me. I'm sorry. Man, what kind of person did I marry? You knew. I didn't know.

I learned every day. I learn new you every day. Save me. Keeps it exciting. Yeah.

Yeah. It's been the save me for twenty years. Josh, you knew me. That ice cream's awesome. It is awesome.

It's really good. I can't even tell you the brand name because I don't it's in a black box. Yeah. And There's only four in there. And they're expensive.

I don't even know how much they were. I don't either. Would you say they're more than a dollar apiece? Was it more than $4? Yes.

Would you say it was $8? Is it $2 a piece, or was it less than that? Oh, there's called the afters Okay. Is the brand. How much is it per box?

I don't know. Oh, okay. Say it's more or less? I feel like I'm playing The Price is Right. Well More or less than $5.

You go to their website, all they've got is a bunch of merch they wanna sell you. Oh, did you know they sell it in a pint? No. Yep. That's what I want.

Like, I like the bar, and I'm gonna eat the bars, but, but I really like that they sell it in a pint because if I can just get it in the pint, oh, man. It says $11 for four bars. When you look online? Yeah. Yeah.

So that's almost $3 a bar. Yeah. That is expensive ice cream. It's worth it, but it's expensive. It is really good.

The brand is called Afters. If you're Not a sponsor, but they should be. Not a sponsor. Send me ice cream. It was delicious.

Smokes. Alright. I'm gonna, go to a meeting. So we're gonna wrap up the show now. K.
